Today, it’s among the largest and is also affiliated with the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition. Chenrezig Institute is home to a Tibetan teacher, several monks and nuns, and a community of volunteers, students, and guests who live harmoniously all under one roof. It’s a world-class Buddhist retreat for anyone who wants to explore meditation, learn Buddhism, take up workshops on the psychology of Buddhism, art, and mental health.
While here, a visit to the Eudlo Creek National Park is highly recommended. It’s an important conservation park in Diddillibah – not too far from the town centre.
