Lake Baroon is located between Montville and Maleny and is one of twenty-six dams that the Seqwater manages which provides drinking water to Queensland residents. Activities enjoyed at the lake include swimming, boating and fishing.

For those looking to go for a walk through a beautiful forest should try Kondalilla National Park which is one of the most spectacular parks on the Sunshine Coast. The park is named after the spectacular Kondalilla Falls, where you will see Skene Creek drop 90 metres into the rainforest valley below.

In Montville itself, stop by the Montville Art Gallery and check out the extensive mix of abstract paintings, modern landscape, figurative paintings, ceramics, prints, glass, jewellery and sculpture.
