With such fantastic weather all year round, it would be a shame not to visit the Kawana Waters Marina. This elegant seaside venue has become a well-loved tourist destination because it offers terrific shopping and dining, as well as entertainment for all ages. This is also where you can charter boats to explore the coast of south-eastern Queensland for a truly memorable time. Best of all, it’s only a few minutes away from Kawana Shoppingworld and the Mooloolah River National Park.
Speaking of the Mooloolah River National Park, it’s a top destination among the different Kawana Waters attractions. The park is split up into two areas: the Jowarra Section and the Mooloolah River Section. Both of these zones protect the coastal rainforest, though visitors are welcome to explore it on foot or on canoe. Bushwalking and cycling are popular activities in the park too.
The Currimundi Lake Conservation Park is a tranquil natural sanctuary where visitors can walk, look out for birds, or take photographs. Also known as the Kathleen McArthur Conservation Park, this area has several walking trails to choose from. The most popular walks are the Heath Circuit and the Beach Access Track. Head over to the Crummunda Park nearby to enjoy the picnic facilities and catch your breath.
Excellent swimming and surfing await you at Kawana Beach, which is a stretch of pristine beach that also happens to be one of the longest coastlines in Queensland. It’s popular for surfing, though kids and adults alike can enjoy some swimming in the patrolled area. Beach and rock fishing are popular pastimes here too.
