The Wishlist Fun Run is an annual event that encourages people to join and walk, run, skip or even jump to fundraise while supporting patients from the Sunshine Coast.

The event was founded in 2019 and has since raised significant money for Wishlist. This not-for-profit organisation provides 100% of all the funds raised to contribute to service support, medical equipment, research, and staff scholarships for the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service.
The Wishlist Fun Run is a one-day event held in October each year. Even spectators and supporters will have loads of fun at the event because there are activities planned for everyone: live entertainment, face painting, a jumping castle, BBQ and drinks, and so much more.
The races begin around 7:30am, while the 5km starts 30 minutes later. The beautiful Lake Kawana is an artificial waterway that has become a popular tourist attraction, especially for visitors who love water sports. It’s particularly well-loved for canoeing, kayaking, dragon boat racing, outrigger, and motorised boats, while its foreshores have tracks for walking and biking.
For those who want to help Wishlist beyond the event, you can donate directly to them. Patrons can also choose a cause, and it’s good to note that commercial enterprises already cover their operational expenses. They pledge over $1 million annually to support Sunshine Coast patients and their families.
