Throughout the day, there is a range of show horses and horse jumping events in the Main Arena. The prestigious horse events are very popular during the show, and as such, they get centre stage during the show.
At 1:30pm on Saturday, you will see the horses take a well-deserved break, and the historic Grand Parade will take to the ring. The Grand Parade is a showcase of all the people/volunteers/groups, and organisations that make the show so great to watch. Once the Grand Parade concludes, regular scheduling of the horse events will resume until our legendary Night Show takes over!
Every year, the Sunshine Coast Agricultural Show puts on an action-packed Night Show filled with entertainment for every age group and family. Entertainment kicks off just after dark and finishes with a spectacular fireworks display that will leave you wanting more!
Many food stalls will also sell hot and cold food, coffee, cold drinks, and ice cream. Entertainment will be provided throughout the show, with many roving musicians and musical acts performing at various times.
Fireworks Spectacular
They finish the night with a massive “Million Acre Masterpiece—A Pyrotechnic Spectacular” laser-and-light fireworks spectacular finale, supported by lasers, special effects lighting, and a great soundtrack to get you out of your seat!

There are plenty of parking options available. The best place to park is at the Show. Premium parking is available on the grounds for $10/day—you can come and go as you please to your car. It is available at Crushers Car Park—Crushers Leagues Club, Crusher Park Drive, Nambour.
The Second Closest is MacKellar Mining (the old Council Depot) on National Park Drive behind the Puma Service Station. It costs $5/day and is available all day.
Local transport supports the Sunshine Coast Show. A free Show Shuttle bus leaves from the Nambour Train Station and drops you off at the Main gate. The Shuttle Bus is available until after the fireworks.
Trains run frequently on the standard timetable from Brisbane or Gympie to Nambour. TRANSLink buses run regularly between the Nambour train/bus station and the Maroochydore transit centre on Aerodrome Road at Sunshine Plaza.
Is there parking for disabled. And are there fireworks at the end of every day? And whar time does it close?
Hi Lesley,
Not sure about disabled parking, as parking is available at the Crusher’s Grounds off Bli Bli Road. Check with traffic controllers who may be able to direct you to reserved spaces.
Fireworks will be held each evening, at 8.30pm on Friday and Saturday night and at 7.15pm on Sunday night.
The show finishes at the conclusion of the fireworks, around 9pm on Friday and Saturday and 8pm on Sunday.
Best regards,
Jess
How do we get to the showgrounds please.
Hi Alana,
You don’t state where you are travelling from, so I am unable to give you specific directions. But the showgrounds are located near the township of Nambour. You can type “Sunshine Coast Agricultural Show” into Google Maps and it will bring up the location for you. We also have a map of the location on our page here.
Best regards,
Jess
