The event, which was started in 1993 by Rob van Wegen, has grown to be one of the top hill climb events in the country. It’s famed for its challenging trails through 1,500km of bitumen and 14 sweeping corners.
Several makes and models are welcome, not just Australian but American, Japanese, Italian, German, French, Swedish, and British. There will be as many as 180 cars, such as classics, sports sedans, muscle open-wheelers, and specials. Operated and promoted by the Noosa Beach Classic Club, this event is a yearly surefire hit among automobile lovers.
The Noosa Winter Hill Climb is just as much fun for visitors as you get to see an eclectic mix of cars up close. Spectator areas have been thoughtfully designed for maximum comfort from the best vantage points, so you’ll always have a terrific view. Food and drinks will be available all day, but the thrills of the road will surely keep your energy up.
Shuttle bus services will be available to and from the entry gate through a pathway that also takes you to the spectator areas, passing through the bush. Visitors are encouraged to walk around, check out the pits, and talk to drivers while making new friends. Bring your friends along to revel in the pulsating atmosphere!
