Mary River Festival

The Mary River Festival aims to increase awareness of the unique Mary River environment through recreation and celebration.

With the yearly festival usually held in July, the organisers put on a massive event with an extensive range of workshops, exhibits, entertainment and children’s activities.

Bringing the community together to celebrate the wealth and abundance that the river brings to the region, the Mary River Festival has a massive program, including drama, music, art, fun, education, environmental discussions and displays. Come and learn Zumba, drumming, photography, weaving and juggling.

Kids will also have fun with face painting, a circus, parades, and games throughout the festival. Plenty of live music on the main stage will keep you entertained throughout the day.

You will also find stalls selling a variety of hot and cold foods, cold drinks, and coffee.
