Blackall 100, 2024 Dates, Entry, Prices, Course & Elevation Map, Mapleton
With strong ties to the local Indigenous tribe, this unbeatable event is loved as much for its tough terrain as its traditions. Make this the year YOU ring the iconic Blackall Bell as you cross the finish line.
The Blackall 100 has several events, though its primary is the 100km, followed by a 50km and a 21km half marathon. The 100km and 50km races begin and end at the QCCC, while the 21km starts at the Baroon Pocket Dam and finishes at the QCCC.
The course will be marked with reflective orange flagging tape (approx. every 250m). Directional arrows are red on a white background. These will be at intersections along the trail. Follow the direction of the arrow. These red crosses will be at intersections, indicating this is NOT the Blackall course.
Bus services will be available for the participants, with parking spots in the Mapleton Community Hall on Obi Obi Road. The three-day event has ample races so that runners, hikers, and walkers can join in on a massive ultra-marathon in some of Queensland’s most pristine locations. Those who win ring the legendary Blackall Bell at the finish line, too!
Spectators are most welcome. The event is staged from the QCCC Mapleton. This is the start for the 100km and 50km races, the finish for all three events, and checkpoint 2 for the 100k event (22.5k into the race).
Parking for the Blackall100 is at the Mapleton Community Hall, 31 Obi Obi Rd. Please follow the attendants’ instructions.
From here, it is a 400m (approx.) walk to the entrance of QC, 70 Obi Obi Rd. Please respect the local residents and do not park across driveways. Near the start/finish area, there will be live music, a coffee shop, and food available.
