Yaroomba Bushland Park is mainly known only by the locals, but this hidden gem is worth visiting. There is a picnic table on the trail, and cyclists can also use the tracks. You can find it by heading over to the hilly green areas just behind Point Arkwright, and you’ll discover this amazing oasis hidden in plain sight amid an urban area. The boardwalk is elevated, so it’s ideal for visiting, no matter what the weather is. If you visit right after the rain, you’ll likely hear some frogs – especially in the wetland area.
When visiting, be sure to bring some mosquito repellant as midges and sand flies are possible. After the walk, check out David Low Way, which has some coffee shops that offer delicious treats. If you’re looking for other activities to keep you active while here, Mount Coolum is a terrific challenge. The 25-million-year-old rock makes for a great hiking activity, and you’ll be rewarded with stunning views of the coast from the top.
Unwind and soak up the sun’s rays at Coolum Beach. This piece of paradise is a favourite holiday destination, and many love it because it’s significantly less busy compared to other nearby beaches. The white sand and clear waters will lure you in for a dip, but the beach area itself is excellent for some beach cricket, frisbee, or football.
Yaroomba Bushland Park and its surroundings are a top choice for a leisurely getaway.
