The calm waters, cool breeze, and fantastic bay views make Bongaree a popular destination on Bribie Island. This is a beautiful place for families to swim, and the shallow areas are ideal for taking your toddlers out too. Bring a spade and bucket, and your kids will have tons of fun for hours.
On the other hand, the jetty here is a terrific place for older kids to swim and dive off. Kayaking and paddleboarding are great activities here when the waters are calm. If you don’t have your own gear, not to worry: you can hire water sports equipment at one of the many shops available on Bribie Island. There are also numerous pathways all over the island perfect for exploring either on foot or on a bike.
