Woorim Off Leash Dog Beach

The Woorim Off-Leash Dog Beach is one of the most popular dog beaches in the Moreton Bay area.

Located on the southern end of the Woorim foreshore on Bribie Island, the 4.2km long stretch is a paradise for pups and their owners.

The beach can get narrow when the tide is high,  so try to visit during the low tide as this is when there’s much more space for dogs to run about, dig, and play. A car park is conveniently located on Bennelong Street, and from here, take the short path that will lead you straight into the off-leash area.

From the Woorim Off-Leash Dog Beach, you and your pup also have the option to take a hike to Bongaree, which has calm waters. The calm waters, cool breeze, and fantastic bay views make Bongaree a popular destination on Bribie Island. This is a beautiful place for families to swim, and the shallow areas are ideal for taking your toddlers out too. Bring a spade and bucket, and your kids will have tons of fun for hours.

On the other hand, the jetty here is a terrific place for older kids to swim and dive off. Kayaking and paddleboarding are great activities here when the waters are calm. If you don’t have your own gear, not to worry: you can hire water sports equipment at one of the many shops available on Bribie Island. There are also numerous pathways all over the island perfect for exploring either on foot or on a bike.
