Viridian Park

Viridian Park is an excellent weekend destination for families. Built in 2016, the park is complete with a quality range of facilities.

The park is equipped with a cricket pitch, half basketball court, goal posts, BBQ shelter, parking lots, and lots of open green space.

It’s particularly popular for Sunday afternoon footy and cricket games, plus a delicious BBQ lunch. There are also wide pathways so that visitors of all abilities and ages can walk, bike, or take their wheelchairs here. Whether you’re after a heart-pumping cycle or a leisurely walk, you’ll enjoy doing all those and more in this lovely space.

Viridian Park is surrounded by landscaped trees and shrubs. Getting some outdoor exercise or spending time with your family here is not only great but you’ll be surrounded by beautiful views too. The dog park is equipped with covered seats, so you can let your pooch run free and expend some energy. Drinking water is provided as well.

For more outdoor exercise after the park, head over to the stunning Kawana Forest. Here, you’ll find a winding path that takes you around the houses, as well as the bush. Take the Kawana Forest Nature Walk then the river trail, after which you’ll end up at the Kawana Football Club.

There’s also the option to paddle around Currimundi Lake, which is easy enough for beginners. The lake is a tranquil haven, home to numerous wildlife and bird species. Other water sports suitable for the lake include kayaking and canoeing.

There are many activities around the area that you can also do with the family. If you have young children, don’t miss out on the Big Boing Indoor Trampoline Park. Giant trampolines plus airbags and basketball translate to a full day of fun and laughter with the young ones.
