The Twin Hills Lookout is one of the exciting adventures on the Noosa Trail Network, which features eight picturesque hinterland trails that can be accessed on a mountain bike, on foot, or horseback. It’s certainly a scenic way to explore the sights, smells, and sounds of the hinterland’s best places. All trails have clear signposts, while tracks have been modified minimally only, so it’s easy to navigate. Some of them are equipped with water tanks and picnic shelters.
Visitors can choose trails based on length and terrain, and there’s one available for all fitness levels. Check out the Noosa Visitor Information Centre if you’d like more information on a trail. You’ll also get to see the vibrant flora and fauna of the region up close when visiting the hinterland. Bring comfortable shoes and expect to come across varied terrains, including mud, grass, rocks, and leaves. It’s pretty close to how nature intended it to be!
Though there is no need to complete the distance for any of the trails, adventurous visitors may want to stay a night or two. Camping is available at designated locations, though you can also opt for a trail that takes you to a small town, allowing you to spend the night more comfortably in a small motel or hotel. Some campsites available include the Cootharaba Views Lookout, Middle Lookout, Cooran Riders Grounds, Camp Cooroora, Pomona Showgrounds, and the Kin Kin Sports Grounds.
The Twin Hills View Lookout is a must-visit when exploring this region.
