Though the tidal rocks are not ideal for swimming, you can head over to Kawana’s patrolled area for swimming. Just be sure to practice caution as there are occasional rips, especially near the creek mouth. Other water sports can also be enjoyed here, such as fishing in the rip holes and off Point Cartwright.
There are lots to explore while in Wurtulla. This up-and-coming town is the last coastal area to develop between Kawana and Caloundra. Many residential areas have popped up in recent years as word gets around on the terrific quality of life to be enjoyed. It has also become a well-loved holiday destination, plus it is just 5 minutes away from the Caloundra CBD. Everything is easily accessible, including restaurants, shops, sporting facilities, cafes, and of course, the beautiful beaches.
Everything you need is within reach while here, so if you’re on holiday and find yourself needing some groceries, just head over to IGA. There are also local fruit and produce vendors, butchers, a medical centre, and a pharmacy. For some quiet time and relaxation with the family, Currimundi Lake is highly recommended.
