Tea Tree Bay

Tea Tree Bay is one of the four bays on the Noosa Headland, well-loved for its excellent surf and serene environment.

It’s only 20 minutes away by foot from Laguna Bay and close to the busy yet stylish Hastings Street.

If you are looking for an incredibly scenic beach to spend time in, don’t miss out on this one! It boasts sparkling turquoise waters, golden sands, and sparkling rock pools that kids love. Pandanus trees line the bay, and there are lots of wide-open spaces for parking your picnic blanket. It’s also the only beach within the Noosa National Park that is close to facilities.

Keep in mind that Tea Tree Bay isn’t a patrolled beach, so do swim with caution. Children are better off wading in the rock pools because the bay has notorious rips and currents – so don’t venture out too far. Seasoned surfers are usually found in Rocky Point. There are walking tracks here that offer spectacular views of the coastline, with stops at the Dolphin Point and Boiling Pot lookouts – so bring your camera along.

This quiet corner is only a few minutes away from Noosa Main Beach, so you can easily visit both destinations in one day. Noosa Main Beach is famous for its tranquil and laid-back surf vibe, located right on the edge of Hastings Street. It’s more suitable for swimming because it’s protected from currents and rips due to its north-facing location in the bay. It’s a popular swimming spot for surfers and tourists who want to park for the day and enjoy the waters. In addition, this is the best place to learn how to surf since the waves are usually mild.

Tea Tree Bay and the nearby beaches are the perfect choices for a sun-drenched day.
