This little corner is equipped with clean toilets, as well as a tap and hose, which you can use to wash off the salt from your pet. These facilities are available all year round and have been a well-loved destination among pet parents in the area. Just be sure that your dog is friendly to other dogs and people before letting them off-leash. Otherwise, it’s best to keep them on a leash as it’s not uncommon to have kids roaming the area too.

In the past, Stumers Creek Dog Off-Leash Area was renowned for being home to the Coolum Kite Festival. It took place from 2000 to 2010 but eventually was stopped. However, local authorities thankfully decided to keep the place and convert it into a lovely dog beach. Even if you don’t have a dog of your own, it’s a wonderful place to visit because of the laid-back ambience and friendly people all around.

On one end of the creek is a car park where you’ll find a playground and picnic tables. Bring along some goods to snack on as your dog plays or as you watch the sea. There are many more incredible dog beaches in the area. Check out the Coolum Off-Leash Dog Beach, which is popular not just for dogs but also for swimming and surfing. It’s a spacious off-leash zone that starts from north of the Coolum Beach caravan park, through a kilometre of Stumers Creek.

Stumers Creek Dog Off-Leash Area is a wonderful destination for those with or without dogs. Kids can spend the day playing, and you can also go on lazy morning strolls.
