The park is 4.7 hectares large, and around half of it belongs to the environmental reserve. However, the entire area is nestled on a stunning hilltop parkland filled with beautiful tall gum trees. With lots of fresh air and open space to play, this will be a sure hit among families with kids. The facilities include picnic tables and BBQ, where the adults can unwind while kids spend hours on the play equipment.

Stockyard Park also has a 250-metre long-sealed pathway, which is suitable for recreational cyclists and runners. The elderly can also safely use it thanks to smooth and even surfaces. Fitness enthusiasts can make use of the exercise and callisthenics equipment too.

Check out the nearby Ivadale Lakes too, where adorable ducks swim freely. The entire area is a fantastic destination, especially in the summer. The lake itself is abundant with fish, and many small animals thrive in the area.

These destinations are near the town centre, where you can easily access services and shops, including the Little Mountain Medical Centre, Swain Family Meats, Parkland Tavern, Night Owl, and much more. There are several fantastic places to eat here, so do come hungry but you can also buy some meats at the butcher’s and take it to the picnic with you.

It’s also good to note that Dicky Beach is just 7 minutes away by car, and Kings Beach and Currimundi Beach are nearby beaches. All of these and more are near Caloundra, a paradise for beaches and tons of water sports within your reach.
