Some of the park’s amenities include a picnic area, BBQs, and several tables and chairs. The wide-open grassy fields are perfect for relaxing and picnics, though it’s best to bring along some walking shoes to explore the wildlife and bushland after eating.
Take a stroll down the river of the Rocksberg Heritage Park, and from here, you can take a refreshing dip at the water hole. Nature-loving kids have always loved the water hole because this is where they can safely splash around or even hunt for small fish in the river bed. You might even get to see a few wallabies who are known to come down to the river for a drink along the water’s edge; other animals that are common sightings here include the Australian kookaburra, kangaroos, koalas, and magpies, among others.
There are other attractions nearby, such as the Caboolture River Road Heritage Trail. It takes you through several landmarks from the old farming district. You’ll also see old buildings such as the Morayfield State School building built in the 1870s and the Farmer’s Assembly Hall, made entirely by locals in the 1890’s and then the Primitive Methodist Church of 1875 that was built was converted into the Uniting Church and Cemetery.
The Rocksberg Heritage Park is a stunning attraction that shouldn’t be missed.
