The park features a big playground with equipment for kids up to the age of 12. The skate park has also become popular among other youth and teenagers within the Youth Activity Precinct. It’s worth visiting the skate park alone to see why it was awarded the Queensland Regional Awards of Excellent Park of the Year back in 2017. The skate park is built with various elements to encourage skaters’ creativity and fun, such as rails, ledges, banks, stairs, kick-ups, and tight transitions.

Visitors can also learn about local history by checking out the old Moreton Sugar Mill near the Youth Activity Precinct. It features a spacious playground with a three-storey building where kids can play in an enclosed environment.

Other Quota Memorial Skate Park features include covered picnic tables, electric BBQs, a half basketball court, and toilets. The memorial itself is not to be missed, which has a Cenotaph, Heroes Walk, and memorial wall that pays tribute to the many individuals who served during the war. Remembrance Day and Anzac Day services take place here annually.

Because of the park’s beauty, it’s not surprising that it has become a favourite outdoor events venue. Festivals usually take place during certain times of the year. However, during regular days, you can take in the stunning views by going on a walk along the boardwalk; after the park, head over into the main part of Nambour, which is well-loved for its charming cafes, craft beers, and vintage charm.
