Palkana Park

Palkana Park is a small, relaxing park located along Oceanic Drive in Warana.

It has become the go-to park for locals taking their kids, as well as dogs.

The park is equipped with a shower, which is ideal for using to wash off after visiting the beach. Tables are also provided, making it easy for visitors to have a snack or coffee. Dogs can be taken here off-leash, though the beach is not patrolled, so practice caution, especially when the waves are big.

Palkana Park is one of many areas to explore in and around Warana, located within Kawana Waters. This area is just an hour away from Brisbane and near numerous tourist attractions, including Point Cartwright and Currimundi Creek. Kawana Beach is popular for being one of the longest strips of beach on the Sunshine Coast. The 9km-long stretch of pristine golden sand and clear water offers terrific surfing, but a patrolled area makes it suitable for swimming, fishing, and rock fishing. After a day in the sun, wind down by strolling along the beach and head over to Point Cartwright, a beautiful place to watch the sun go down.

From Point Cartwright, there are many gems to discover, too, such as the dazzling rock pools that kids love exploring. Other attractions here include an off-leash dog park and a grassy lookout area.
