If you’re looking for a relaxing beach destination for a holiday, look no further! It’s long been considered a hidden gem, and because of that, there are hardly any crowds in this gorgeous seaside playground. The beach is patrolled throughout the year, though it’s only recommended to swim in the area between the Mudjimba Surf Club’s flags for safety, especially when strong currents and rips are expected.

Mudjimba Beach is a terrific place to soak up the sun with a book, but there are many fantastic water sports to enjoy here. Excellent fishing can be found by the rip gutters and the river mouth on the southern area of Twin Waters. Surfers come for the surf breaks by the beach, though many love the banks that head towards Point Arkwright. Kids will love boogie boarding right by the shore.

Head over to Mudjimba Island, located off the coast. Referred to as Old Woman Island by the locals, this island was previously owned by Sean Connery. Today, it’s become a haven for diving and snorkelling as it’s home to vibrant reefs and colourful marine life.

Right by the Mudjimba Surf Club is a well-equipped kids’ playground. The grassy areas provide shade and other facilities, including picnic tables and BBQ pits, making it the ideal family-friendly beach getaway where everyone can have fun for hours. Bring along some food for a long lunch, but you can also order takeaways from the many shops across the road that offer lovely coffee and food.

Mudjimba Beach has everything you need for an unforgettable beach holiday. A wide range of accommodation options can also be found in the area; whether you’re into luxury or camping, you’ll find it here.
