The curved beach is situated in the sheltered area of Point Cartwright, and on its eastern end is the Mooloolaba Harbour entrance. The beach usually has normal low waves, which make it suitable for swimming most of the year. Just be wary of the rips that occur once waves hit a metre high and the permanent rip that occurs in the northern rocks.
