One of the park’s major highlights is the bright red train and carriage, which kids love playing on. It’s one of several interactive play pieces, with the others including a spider web rocker, slides, swings, xylophone, ladybug rocker, and mantis horn. The park also received recent upgrades to ensure that the community always has a reliable, safe place to play in.

Martin Rungert Park also has amenities such as free BBQs, seats, and a bike rack. There are several trees that kids enjoy climbing. Aside from this beautiful park, there are other attractions you can take your kids to in the Mooloolah Valley. Located right beneath the Blackall Range, the coastal town is small but brimming with exciting things to do for the whole family.

Take the family to the Ewen Maddock Dam, which was constructed in 1976. The public can enjoy the designated recreation areas such as the natural swimming hole and multi-use trails, which are excellent for walking and cycling.

Another must-visit while here is the Mooloolah River National Park, a protected area encompassing 830.9 hectares of coastal rainforest, woodlands, closed heaths, and many more. The best way to explore the park is either by bushwalking or on a canoe. Its Jowarra section also happens to be one of Australia’s last coastal rainforest areas, providing an important habitat for endangered wildlife such as the Richmond birdwing butterfly, wompoo pigeon, and eastern yellow robin.

Start your Mooloolah Valley adventures by visiting Martin Rungert Park. You’ll love everything that awaits you here.
