For those in the know, Marcus Beach is considered the best-kept secret in the Noosa Shire. The beach is tucked behind the lush natural forest and has the right size, but the best part is that it never gets busy with tourists. It’s also conveniently located just 5 minutes by car from Peregian Beach and 15 minutes away from Noosa.
Afterwards, check out Peregian Beach, which is also worthy of visiting. This laid-back coastal village features numerous beaches, stunning lakes, and national parks. The centre of town has a charming village square, home to vibrant cafes, restaurants, and shopping. The Peregian community market is a terrific place to find fresh local produce and beautifully made handicrafts; it takes place every first and third Sunday during the mornings.
Other attractions within Peregian include the Lake Weyba National Park, a remote and relatively secret gem within Noosa. It serves as an important fish-breeding area, and its shallow saltwater lake is a great place to go on a dip. The other locations around the lake are a haven for birdwatchers and bushwalking too. To make the most out of Lake Weyba, it’s recommended to spend a day or two as you take in the marvellous natural surroundings.
Marcus Beach and its surrounding destinations are idyllic holiday choices in the Sunshine Coast.
