The Mapleton Falls Lookout is one of the most secluded tourist attractions here, but that’s what makes it so special for many. After your stop here, go on to explore all the sights in the national park, which is home to tremendous natural beauty – especially the riparian forest and eucalyptus trees. The Wompoo Circuit is a popular way to discover the park, but be sure to keep an ear out for the wompoo fruit dove’s calls. With all the many day walks you can do in the park, it certainly offers enough adventure for a few days visit.
The village itself also has lots of charming attractions. Mapleton is surrounded by beautiful rolling green hills and spectacular coastal views that can be seen just by taking a short drive. Stop by at one of the cafes or local taverns on the hilltop for a cup of coffee with a view. Depending on the time of the year when you visit, you might be able to catch the yarn festival in town.
The Mapleton Falls Lookout and the many scenic surrounding areas will undoubtedly be a highlight of your trip here.
