Maleny is a picture-perfect hinterland town in the Blackall Range, located just 30 minutes drive west of Caloundra.

Nature lovers will enjoy a trip to the Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve. This 55-hectare rainforest overlooks the Glass House Mountains and has an extensive range of native animals living within. There are walking tracks and viewing platforms throughout the reserve to guide visitors and an Ecological Education Centre that offers information and multi-media presentations on natural history.

The Maleny Botanic Gardens is also a beautiful place to visit during your stay on the Sunshine Coast. With over 14 acres of gardens and lawns located on over 110 acres, many people come here to enjoy the magnificent rainforest setting and spectacular views of the Glass House Mountains. You will discover over 6kms of walking paths, lakes and waterfalls, an aviary and a barnyard when attending the gardens.
