The Kawana Waters Memorial is a commemoration for Australian men and women who served in past conflicts and wars.
Located at the Surf Life Saving Supporters Club along Pacific Boulevard in Buddina, the seaside pillars are a great place to visit to pay tribute to the fallen while enjoying a beautiful view.

A small brick wall is found behind the memorial, featuring three service badges. Other highlights of the memorial are the Merchant Navy plaque and small plaques designed to commemorate Sub-Branch members.
Another interesting feature of this area is that it’s also home to the Kawana Waters RSL Sub Branch, an office in the Kawana Waters Surf Lifesaving and Supporters club. They are an active RSL Sub-Branch, with around 120 members and a Women’s Auxiliary. All their members eventually become social members of the lifesaving club each year, allowing them to use their facilities free of charge.
The club is worth checking out as you learn about military history; a corner dedicated to the Sub-Branch displays various items, including photographs.
The Kawana Waters Memorial is also a favourite spot for picnics and BBQs. Spend an afternoon here as you take in the views of the ocean and watch the boats. It’s near the sea if you want to go for a dip; it’s also walking distance away from Kawana Shoppingworld.
Be sure to include this in your itinerary for a bit of history and sightseeing in one destination.
