The Maroochy River Canoe Trail, which starts at the Wharf Road in Yandina, passes through Coulsons Wharf Park, Ashtons Wharf Road, Dunethin Rock, Muller Park, and finally culminates at Maroochydore, is a thrilling adventure for seasoned canoers. This picturesque tidal estuary trail is 28 km long though shorter options are available too. You’ll pass through numerous historic and scenic places along the way.
While in Yandina, there are so many other exciting activities and destinations to discover. The town centre is a historical landmark, as it was the settlement for the Gubbi Gubbi people, followed by the first Europeans who arrived here in 1853. Numerous heritage buildings have remained in the town centre, the most famous of which is the Yandina Hotel – the oldest pub on the Sunshine Coast.
