The club itself comprises exemplary individuals who meet at the clubhouse twice a month, working on projects to improve the lives of people in the community. They are particularly passionate about helping people with disabilities as well as fundraising for important causes.

Nearby the Cooroy Pomona Lions Club is the sewage treatment plant, surrounded by beautiful woodlands home to many incredible birds. Some of the species you may find here include the Magpie Goose, Red-browed Finch, Variegated Fairy-wren, and Wandering Whistling-Duck. For avid birdwatchers, another destination to check out is the Botanic Gardens, north of Cooroy.

It’s located just 20 minutes away from the heart of town, featuring an easy 18-hole golf course established in 1936. Today, it’s the premier golf club that has expanded and continuously upgraded its facilities.
