Buddina Beach

Buddina Beach is a beautiful coastal area on the Sunshine Coast.

Its long stretch of golden, sandy beach facing the Pacific Ocean makes it suitable for hours of fun, swimming and frolicking for the whole family.

Go for a scenic jog or stroll on the Coastal Pathway adjacent to the beach. The primary recreational area here is Kawana Beach, which is also the safest area for swimming since the waves are smaller. Other beach parts have larger waves that are famous among experienced surfers, offering moderate swells during the high tide. The beach is also dog friendly, with canines allowed when on a leash.

Buddina Beach is also popular for fishing. Each rip hole is excellent for beach fishing, but you can also cast in the deep longshore trough. Point Cartwright is known for excellent rock fishing, so does the creek when its mouth is open.

Self-contained apartments are the accommodation style of choice around the area. Many of them come with scenic views of the sea and are affordable yet chic. Many visitors enjoy spending a few days in and around Buddina Beach for some R&R and shopping. This is where you will find the Kawana Shoppingworld – one of the largest shopping centres in Australia. Home to more than a hundred shops, this is the place to go if you want to do some serious shopping.

After swimming or shopping, check out the charming coffee shops and restaurants in town. These include One on la Balsa, Little Miss Saine, The Coffee Club Café, TwinFins Espresso Bar, and Good Bean. You can’t go wrong with all the premium coffee and treats being served up here.
