The Bribie Island Community Arts Centre is one of the biggest art centres in Australia.

Featuring spaces for workshops, studios, retail, and display, this is a special centre that caters to over 20 different kinds of artistic mediums.

The space is vital to many local artists. It serves as the residence for the Bribie Island Gem and Fossicking Club and the Bribie Island Woodcrafters. Many groups, including garden clubs, photographers, quilters, and more, meet here regularly, where visitors can even observe them as they create works of art. It’s not surprising to know that the centre attracts more than 30,000 visitors annually and growing; this is a place that promotes and inspires the artist in all of us.

The facilities of Bribie Island Community Arts Centre include the Mathew Flinders Art Gallery, which is a spacious exhibition area available for hire. It also houses a boardroom for hire, studios for hire, five retail areas where artists can showcase their work, a permanent pottery with glass kilns, and a printing press.

They offer a wide range of arts workshops, with several new ones throughout the year. If you are interested in art or want to learn something new, the centre is highly recommended. Be sure to check out their schedule of events before your visit. The on-site gift shop also sells beautiful handmade arts that you can take home, and there is also a cafe to get a quick bite to eat.

The Bribie VIBE Market is also run by the Bribie Island Community Arts Centre and is scheduled for the last Sunday of every month and runs from 8:30am until 1pm.
