Sunshine Coast Beaches

Sunshine Coast beaches are famous around the country and for good reason.

Renowned for five-star surf and pristine beaches, there are dozens of them to choose from – perfect for those seeking true relaxation.

A visit here wouldn’t be complete without stopping by the Noosa Heads Main Beach. It’s one of the most popular beaches in Australia, and is perfect for surfing, sunbaking, swimming, shopping, and dining. It has everything that the idyllic beach town has, and it’s safe for swimming because it’s patrolled.

Some excellent right-hand breaks are found on the north side, while fishing is best in the entrance wall. From here, one can easily access the fashionable Hastings Street for elegant dining and shopping.

While in Caloundra, explore another one of the legendary Sunshine Coast beaches; Kings Beach. This destination is renowned for terrific water sports – no matter what time of year. Because of this, Kings Beach is highly recommended for sun-loving travellers who enjoy being active while being near the sea. There are also several tourist amenities all within reach including public barbecues, showers, toilets, and more. The saltwater pools here are ideal for kids.

Tea Tree Bay is an exceptional one for its breathtaking turquoise waters. The wide, golden sandy area offers lots of space for sun-baking and picnics, while the rock pools have proven to be a hit with young ones. The postcard-perfect coast is enhanced with the presence of pandanus trees, so don’t miss out on this one. However, swim with caution as this isn’t a patrolled beach.

Mudjimba Beach is a pristine tropical wonderland located near Maroochydore. Considered by many a hidden gem, this is perfect for people who want a quiet holiday, far away from crowds. It’s great for water sports or just relaxing under the shade with a good book.

Other highly-rated beach destinations in the region include Mooloolaba Spit Beach, Ninjas Beach, Point Cartwright, Red Beach, Shelly Beach, and many more.

Sunshine Coast beaches make the ideal backdrop for your next tropical holiday.
